Becker 27 with an outboard motor for 4000 euro!

Hey friends! Meet Becker 27 with an outboard motor for 4000 euro! (I think you can try to reduce the price to 3000 euro)

Location: Norway

Hull length: 8.12 meters.
Width: 2.64 meters.
Draft: 1.40 meters.
Sleeping places: 4
Galley (kitchen): available
Toilet: available

This sailboat has a small cosmetic defect on its bow (you can see it in the photo) but it is inexpensive to remove.

An outboard motor Suzuki has power 15 h.p. It looks good and has power reserve. The motor is 4-stroke, you can control the power from the cockpit like we usually do with the inboard engine (see the pics). Besides, this motor has an electric starter.

The owner didn’t say anything about the sails condition but there are the mainsail, genoa, storm mainsail and spinnaker. I would like to pay your attention to the fact there’s no jib furler cylinder on the photo which means the jib is classic. However, it can be controlled right from the cockpit.

Among the equipment are the autopilot, gas stove, sprayhood, solar panel, water tank (5 litres), electric pomp. What is more, the owner gives the crabbing tackles!

The photos show that the plastic and wood are in good condition. The sailboat looks cared. The cosmetic defect looks like it was a hit with a pier which is not critical. Sailboats like this are light, so hits like that are not dangerous for the hull. The repair in Tunisia will cost about 50 euro 🙂

The owner wrote that bargaining is welcome, so bargain! I guess you can easily lop 1000 euro off the price.

The yacht itself looks cool, lots of equipment and it was invested for sure 🙂

Marieholm 32E with an updated Volvo Penta MD2030 29 h.p. for only 13 000 euro!

oday we have a Marieholm 32E with an updated Volvo Penta MD2030 29 h.p. inboard engine for only 13 000 euro!

Location: Canary Islands

Hull length: 9.65 meters.
Width: 3.00 meters.
Draft: 1.62 meters.
Sleeping places: 6
Galley (kitchen): available
Toilet: available

Great offer! Such a yacht in the Canary Islands with a huge amount of equipment for only 13 000 euro is just a gift.

There’s an updated 29 h.p. Volvo Penta MD2030 engine, 2300 motor hours which is about 2/3 or 3/4 of the remaining resource.

The yacht has a long keel. The main disadvantage of long-keeled yachts is poor maneuverability in the sternway but with this sailboat the problem is solved by the thruster. This is also a huge advantage!

The sails are in good condition. There’s a genoa furler of 2014, a new mainsail. The seller says the yacht is well equipped for offshore travels. He planned to cross the Atlantic but for personal reasons he didn’t.

It can also be seen from the photos that all the ropes go to the cockpit and the staysail has UV protection.

There’s a new anchor-winch, 200W solar panels, bow thruster, water heater, cockpit shower, bathing platform, 2 autopilots, 2 GPS navigators, charger for rechargeable batteries, 4-stroke outboard engine, inverter, liferaft (needs to be re-laid ), teak cockpit, diesel heater, mooring equipment, vests, basic rescue equipment, safety equipment, etc.

The photos also show an inflatable raft attached to the stern, and there is also a bimini (awning from the sun) which is awesome.

The mooring is paid for 3 months, then the mooring fee is 100 euro per month (according to the seller).

Such offers are very rare, of course everything needs to be checked and carefully inspected but this is probably a great opportunity to buy a good boat at a good price.

120 year old wooden sailboat with a new 50 h.p. Yanmar inboard engine for only 5 500 euro!

Today we have a 120 year old wooden sailboat with a new 50 h.p. Yanmar inboard engine for only 5 500 euro!

Location: Norway

Hull length: 10.97 meters
Width: 4.00 meters
Sleeping places: 5
Galley (kitchen): available
Toilet: available

A very unusual offer and an interesting project. If you transform the appearance of the yacht then it will be a wonderful classic sailboat.

The yacht is equipped with a 50 h.p. Yanmar engine but it’s indicated that the engine must be powered.

Nothing is said about the sails and it’s also difficult to define their condition, so it’s better to ask the seller. Most likely the sails are in order as it can be seen that the yacht was equipped before, but not all the work was completed.

Of the disadvantages, of course, wood care. You should understand that on such a yacht, unlike a plastic one, you have to carry out a lot of work every year. Wood in poor condition is replaced with a new one and this process is done every year (so the yacht is 120 years old, and it’s still afloat).

The seller says that they have done a lot of work on the yacht’s hull over the past year and a half, but they have done nothing for the exterior. The previous owner has lived on the yacht for many years, so the interior is prepared for a comfortable life.

An excellent option for those who love unusual yachts, who know how to work with wood, and are interested in getting their hands on it. The cost of such a yacht in excellent condition will be 10-20 times higher!

22-24 feet yachts for 1000-2000 €: what to expect?

22-24 feet yachts for 1000-2000 €: what to expect?

That’s my favorite category, thanks to such sailboats anyone can afford yachting!

My friends bought an excellent yacht for 500 euro. They were lucky for sure, it’s not every day such offers appear but they do and quite often!

Usually it’s a yacht of about 7 meters with 4 sleeping places, but it won’t be very comfortable for 4 people to travel. Such a yacht is convenient for 1-2 people. And if there are two then they’d better be a couple or two close friends.

These yachts have 2 significant disadvantages in terms of comfort which one has to put up with.

The first is the toilet under the bow berth. When there’s someone sleeping in the bow cabin, they need to be raised to go to the toilet. The pump toilet doesn’t smell in case you wash it at least once a week. The second is the height of the cabin of about 1.5 meters. Because of that you are forced to move around the yacht on your knees, crawling, etc.

At the same time these yachts have a full kitchen with a stove. There’s also space for a head in the hatch area, a sink with outboard and fresh water, a table, a toilet and a bedroom.

Basically there is everything for living and if you really want to, you can go on a trip around the world on such a yacht!

Another disadvantage is the outboard engine, it consumes much more fuel than an inboard one. If you buy a small yacht I highly recommend buying it with a 4-stroke outboard engine, it uses about 30% less fuel.

The outboard engine propeller pops up on a large wave. So in certain weather conditions you won’t be able to use it. It’ll be much more difficult to travel in the tidal zone.

In case of sailing that kind of yacht to the Mediterranean Sea I would go through canals.

The cost of the yacht is also growing, such yachts are sold for 5000-8000 euro in Mediterranean.

It is also a great option to try sailing. This category of yachts is the easiest to sell, you can always sell it without any loss.

I had such a yacht for 1200 €. Read my book where I told how to choose a yacht, how to check it, what to consider when buying, how to prepare, how to save and not lose money. The link to the book is in bio.

26-28 feet sailboats for 4000-8000 €: what to expect?

26-28 feet sailboats for 4000-8000 €: what to expect?

In my opinion a sailboat of this size is the best for a couple. The length is under 8 meters, so the mooring fees are cheap (usually the price ranges divide into up to 8 m, 8-10 m, 10-12 m and so on).

So if the sailboat is under 8 meters the mooring fee is about 30% cheaper than for a 8-10 meters sailboat.

The supplies, services and equipment are also 30% cheaper than for a 30-32 feet sailboat.

It is not so spacious inside, usually there is a bedroom in the nose cabin, a kitchen with two coaches, sometimes one sleeping place under the cockpit also. The width is usually from 2.4 to 3 meters.

Cabin height is approximately 1.7-1.8 meters though it isn’t a problem at all. Usually you either sit or lay inside the yacht (or go to the place where you are going to sit or lay). The kitchen (galley) is equipped with the hatch, the total height under the sprayhood is about 2.3 meters, so it’s comfortable to cook there.

The toilet is either combined (you can close 2 doors, and it becomes like a separate room) or it is designed as a separate room. There’s no shower but you can organize it in the cockpit if you install additional flexible water tanks for 200-300 €.

The sailboat is managed manually without any problems, it is easy to maneuver. Even if there’s little space in marina you will easily turn it with your hands only (if there is no storm or stream).

The mooring fee for a boat like this starts from 500 € per year in the Baltic Sea, in the Mediterranean (Tunisia) it is from 700 €, in Turkey, Greece and Spain it is from 1200 €, in France and Italy — from 1800 € per year.

It’s worth buying a completely renewed sailboat with fresh inboard engine, sails and with lots of equipment on it (autopilot, fridge, echo sounder and so on).

I have a boat of this size and I can say it is the most comfortable size for me right now. I don’t feel the costs on it and there is enough space for two people, I like it all! 🙂

Read my book this week, preparation for the purchase takes time, so it is a good first step to start your way to your dream 🙂

I also help all my readers with free consultations 🙂 The link is in bio 🙂

30-32 feet sailboats for 8000-12000 euro: what to expect?

30-32 feet sailboats for 8000-12000 euro: what to expect?

It is a fully-featured house for living, the only missing thing is the shower but almost every marina is equipped with the shower or you can also organize the shower in the cockpit if you install additional flexible water tanks (the price paid is 200-300 euro).

Ceiling height in the yachts like this is 1.9-2.2 meters, they have separate toilets, 5-7 sleeping places, the anchor chamber, captain’s table, the width is usually from 2.8 to 3.2 meters.

At the same time these yachts are still easy to manage, they are more or less manually-managed, I mean it is possible to strengthen by hands or turn with the oars.

Mooring fee for the boat like this in the Baltics is from 1000 euro per year, in the Mediterranean Sea (Tunisia) you will pay from 1000 euro per year, in Turkey, Greece or Spain — from 1500 euro per year, in France and Italy — from 2000 euro per year.

You can find the sailboat with renewed engine (it is very important! new motor and installation service will cost 6000-10000 euro for a boat like this) for 8000-10000 euro. It will also have refreshed sails and expensive equipment aboard (autopilot, fridge, life raft, navigator, echo sounder and so on).

Sometimes you can find a sailboat that was invested about 25000 euro but the owner sells it for 10000 euro (it is difficult to sell it at higher price, it takes long time. This is how the swedish market looks like).

My recommendation is to buy the sailboats that were updated a lot, this is the most profitable purchase as the investments in the equipment and updates never return. The more the sailboat was renewed the less money you will have to invest in it.

If you buy a boat like that and sail it to the neighboring Finland, Estonia, Germany or Holland it’s price will automatically rise on 20-30%. And if you sail it to the Med it’s price will rise to 20000 – 25000 euro.

I advice to read my book, don’t put it away for later. You will feel that you are closer to some concrete actions to make your dream come true, the plan will come to your mind, you will also understand what you need exactly and how to gain this.

An excellent modern and good-equipped sailboat in good condition. This is a yacht from the owner, it has never been on charter.

Sails with furlers (both mainsail and genoa), all the wires go to the cockpit. Lucky and comfortable combination for cruise sailing as I see it.

The ad specifies lots of equipment: there are GPS Raymarine C90W, autopilot Raymarine, wind measurer, echo sounder, radio station, batteries, starter battery 75Ah, service battery 3x75Ah, shore power system 220 W with 3 sockets, inverter, shower with cold and hot water and hot water supply to the cockpit. As I see it, it is a cool option, it is a modern yacht and still in category under 10 meters, all the needed equipment is included.

I was asked for a long time to post something without a mast, finally I found an interesting option and decided to share it with you.

The vessel has two cabins with separate entrances. Plastic, wood, and the general condition is good. There is a swimming platform, a cockpit tent, a GPS navigator, an echo sounder, a headlight, a steering wheel (!), a compass, an anchor, mooring ropes and other equipment.

The boat is perfect for canals, rivers and the sea.

I certainly prefer sailing yachts, but if you choose a vessel for rivers, or canals, or maybe for business, then this one is for you.

Albin Alpha. It is equipped with a renewed inboard engine Yanmar 10 h.p. for only 12 000 euro!

Hey guys! We have Albin Alpha today. It is equipped with a renewed inboard engine Yanmar 10 h.p. for only 12 000 euro!

Location: Norway

Hull length: 8.93 meters.
Width: 2.84 meters.
Draft: 1.65 meters
Sleeping places: 6
Galley (kitchen): available
Toilet: available

This sailboat looks just great. It is colored very neatly, the wood looks well-conditioned. The owner says he repaired the hull and the keel, so I would advise to ask what exactly did he improve.

There’s an inboard motor Yanmar 10 h.p., it works properly and what is more you can easily find any details and spare parts for this model at a cheap price. This engine is not original, it is the new one (replaced in 2010).

Mainsail and genoa with a furler is included, most likely there is also a spinnaker (look, there’s a spinnaker boom on the photo).

Apart from the usual equipment like the mooring ropes, fenders and anchor there’s also the new GPS Simrad and autopilot.

Cool offer in my opinion, especially if the owner made good-quality repair. The renewed motor and good layout will raise the price of this boat a lot in the Med if you just sail it there to resell 🙂
