Friends!
Today, we have a mahogany Colin Archer, but it’s a project — the hull is being given away for just 1,000 SEK (that’s €90 or $100)!
Read thoroughly and let me know what you think. In my opinion, this is an incredible opportunity for a certain group of people.
📍 Location: Sweden
Length: 12.8 meters
Beam: 4.3 meters
Planking: Mahogany, 4.5 cm thick!
Keel: Lead
Deck & Superstructure: fiberglass reinforced plastic
Bolts: Stainless steel
🚫 Engine: Not yet installed
🚫 Interior: Not yet built
If you were to start a similar project from scratch, the cost would be in the five-figure range. Mahogany is an incredibly expensive material.
Colin Archer is a dream boat for many. If you bring this yacht to completion, its value will be several hundred thousand euros. But this is a big project, it will take months of work, and you’ll need at least one more person to help you keep going and not give up.
Once finished, this will be an amazing cruiser, capable of taking you around the world! A mahogany Colin Archer will turn heads everywhere — whether you enter a marina, a port, or drop anchor, you’ll be the center of attention.
This is a dream project, but it requires time, effort, and dedication. Some tasks can be outsourced (such as engine installation).
You could also sail the boat from Sweden to the Baltics and complete the interior work there.
With a 4.3-meter beam, this boat offers massive living space — practically a floating house where you can design your dream interior!
