Friends, today we’re reviewing an Albin Accent sailboat for 3160 EUR!

The price is slightly above average for Swedish listings, but that’s due to the many upgrades and the overall great condition of the boat.

One family has owned it for the past 8 years. Based on the announcement, they’ve had many adventures and explored the Baltic Sea thoroughly 🙂 Now their family is growing, so they need a bigger boat.

You can clearly see the boat was well-loved and had money invested into upgrades — probably worth more than the boat herself.

The mainsail (dacron) was purchased in 2019. It has lazy bag and lazy jacks (not mentioned in the ad but visible in the photos), a Genoa 1 on a Furlex, a symmetrical spinnaker in good condition.

The sprayhood was updated in 2024.

Other great features:
Simrad TP10 autopilot (2023), depth sounder, compass, GPS plotter with Stockholm archipelago charts, 2 x 25W solar panels (2023), 10A MPPT solar regulator (2020), charging station with USB and cigarette lighter socket, 2 x Bruce anchors, etc.

In the galley, there’s a fresh energy-efficient compressor fridge (2022) and a gas stove. Electric sea and freshwater pumps.

Toilet has a holding tank and deck pump-out fitting.

The boat comes with 4 struts and a winter storage tent.

I’d say this boat is fully loaded. Not many owners are willing to invest so much in a budget-friendly sailboat.

I’d probably refresh the cushions and do some light woodwork inside to make it look newer. Other than that, this is a dream — especially for one just starting sailing.

A safe and well-maintained family boat with a lot of storage space. There are only three owners in the entire history.

The boat has everything for comfortable long voyages. A fresh water tank, a refrigerator with a freezer, a toilet with a septic tank and a pumping neck. Additional thermal insulation has been made. The equipment includes a GPS navigator and an echo sounder.

Two house batteries and one starter battery. There are solar panels and shore power. This setup is enough for all consumers and even a refrigerator.

The original Yanmar YSB-8 engine has been maintained well throughout its ownership history and runs like clockwork with low consumption.

The sails are quite fresh: the 2019 mainsail with a cover, the 2020 staysail with a furler and a gennaker with a sock. There is also a spare older genoa.

A very well-looked-after boat with everything you need to sail.

The boat has been owned by one family for the last 20 years. The interior is clean and tidy. The cushions look good.

There is a galley with a gas stove and a sink with fresh and seawater. The water supply is 76 liters, which is quite good for a small boat.

The diesel heater panel is visible in the photo. Even if it doesn’t work, the fact that it has already been installed is half the work. You can always simply replace the module itself, which is not so expensive.

Good sailing inventory: mainsail, genoa, staysail and spinnaker with boom. The sails look like new in the photo.

The boat has an original Volvo Penta MD5A inboard engine. This is a fairly reliable unit if it is properly maintained.

The sprayhood has been sewn. There is a swimming ladder at the stern.

There is no information about the devices. The photo shows a display in the cockpit, perhaps there is an echo sounder. There is also a new Silva compass and VHF.

You can pick up shore storage cradles with the boat. People usually don’t think about their availability until it’s time to lift the boat.

The history of Hiddensee is quite fascinating. Hiddensee never positioned itself as a shipyard, but offered those who dreamed of sailing the opportunity to build their own boat. Thanks to the shipyard’s equipment, high-quality DIY boats were created 🙂

The boat is currently in winter storage on land with the mast removed. The owner has booked a crane for March 4, so on that date, it can be picked up by trailer. Boat weight: 2 tons.

The yacht is in good condition, well-maintained, compact, yet cozy and equipped with everything needed for comfortable cruising.

A very interesting boat. In the entire history of ownership, there have been only two owners who both took very good care of the boat.

The last owner used the boat for only one week a year.

Cushions, lines, sails, batteries and other equipment have always been stored in closed heated rooms.

The hull was cleaned and polished every year. New antifouling before each season (except this one).

The teak interior is in good condition. The spacious U-shaped dining area and the galley along the side create the feeling of a larger boat.

The galley has a good alcohol stove, sink and an ice-box.

The sails look very good. The staysail is on a furling. The sheets and halyards are brought into the cockpit.

The boat has a fresh 14 hp Sole Mini engine. The fact that the boat has a fresh engine is very good, because such an upgrade costs twice as much as the boat itself (from 7K).

There is no information about any equipment on the boat, it’s possible that there is only a manual VHF. This is normal for such a price. The photo also shows a solar panel and a compass.

Albin Vega is a very reliable and durable boat. I used this model to make the passage from Sweden to Tunisia, and the boat performed its best.

This #yacht has been slightly upgraded — the rudder is shifted aft, which gives the boat better handling, including in reverse.

The boat was used in fresh water, which is good.

Very beautiful and well maintained Accent. The boat is being sold due to the owner’s relocation.

The interior and cushions are in good condition. On the starboard side there is a galley with a gas stove with oven, sink and an ice-box.

A very good set of sails: a mainsail with a lazy bag, a staysail on a furler and almost new code zero, spinnaker and gennaker. All ropes are brought in the cockpit so that it’s convenient to set sails even alone.

The boat has an original Yanmar YSB8G engine. The engine looks very well maintained. The engine room is clean, without traces of oil and leaks.

Two batteries, one starter battery and one house battery.

Also on the boat there is a windex, anemometer, spray hood, fenders, mooring lines and much more.

Albin Accent is an offshore racing cruiser. The model has won many competitions and performed well on long passages.

Very well-maintained Albin Accent. The interior cushions and upholstery are in very good condition. The boat is clean and cozy.

Nice boat in good condition. The boat was built at the shipyard, which made the famous and high-quality Scanmar boats.

The boat is very well maintained. Wooden interior without scratches and scuffs. The cushions look good. There is a diesel heater (like a Webasto).

A well-equipped galley with a stove with an oven, a sink with fresh and seawater and even a compressor refrigerator with a freezer.

The toilet is between the forward cabin and the salon. There is a septic tank.

One starter battery and two new house batteries. There is a solar panel on the rack.

Genoa on a furing and a mainsail with a cover. The sails are in good condition. All the ropes are out in the cockpit.

An inboard Yanmar YSM 8 hp engine is installed on the boat. The ad does not say about the condition of the engine or about any defects.

The deck and cockpit are covered with teak. The wood looks good. It’s quite difficult to find a teak deck on boats of this size. Since this is a very expensive upgrade.

There is also a chartplotter, autopilot and VHF on the boat. This is a very good addition. The cost of all the devices almost pays off the cost of the yacht itself.

A nice and well-maintained small boat from an English shipyard.

The boat is quite spacious, despite its size. Good headroom along almost the entire length of the salon.

A new battery and solar panel have been installed. All electrical wiring was updated in 2021. The seacocks are checked and in good condition.

On the port side there is a galley with an alcohol stove and a sink with fresh and seawater. The new Jabsco toilet is located between the forward cabin and the salon.

There is a preparation for the diesel heater, but no module itself. The price of the modul can be about €200.

The new genoa 2021 on the furling with UV protection and the mainsail with a cover is in good condition. New sheets on genoa. All ropes are brought into the cockpit.

In 1990, the boat received a new inboard Volvo Penta 9 hp diesel engine. The engine works flawlessly.

There is a good cockpit tent.

Such a boat can be a great offer for the first boat. The costs of docking etc are low and she will forgive more mistakes than a boat of, for example, 32-35 feet.
