The boat looks clean and well-maintained. Despite the small length (only 5.7 meters), the boat is rather wide (2.41 meters) and quite spacious.

Usually these models have a stove with two burners under the ladder, but I couldn’t find this in the photo. You can use a camping gas burner if there is no stove. Due to the lack of an entire galley, the salon seems very spacious. The cushions in the cabin have been recently resewn and look good.

A full set of sails: a mainsail with a cover and two staysails. All sails are in good working condition.

Albin 57 is a centerboard with a folding mast that can be folded even by one person. A small draft allows you to get into places that other boats cannot.

The boat has a 4.5 hp Mercury outboard motor and an additional electric motor. There is a separate transom for each motor.

Also, a trailer fitting into the road size is given with the boat. The weight of the boat with a trailer is only 1200 kg, which allows you to transport it even on a not very powerful car.

The boat is well-equipped. The current owner is forced to sell it due to relocation.

The galley has an Origo stove and a refrigerator. All the cushions are fresh. There is a toilet with a septic tank. There is a heater in the cabin.

There is a tent and a sprayhood in the cockpit and a ladder on the bow.

The boat has a Yanmar YSB8 engine installed. There is no information about the condition of the engine in the ad. My advice is to check it with the owner before purchase.

The boat is fast, easy to steer, spacious enough and looks well-maintained.

The galley is equipped with a new fresh water sink and a new 2019 Primus propane stove. The cushions were sewn in 2016. There is a built-in refrigerator under the sleeping place in the salon. A toilet with a stainless steel septic tank is installed.

The boat has a pretty spacious cockpit. A new sprayhood was made in 2016. There is a swim platform at the stern.

The Yanmar YSB 8 engine was overhauled in 2002 and after that it was serviced annually.

This is a small sailboat with an outboard 2-stroke Mercury 4hp engine (2003). I wrote about my experience of owning a sailboat with a two-stroke engine in my book. You can read about these adventures 🙂

This sailboat is perfect for the first start. By the way, they sell it just because they bought a larger sailboat.

The condition of the interior, wood, gelcoat and sides is good. Everything is bright and freshly painted. There’s an 8hp Honda 4-stroke outboard engine 2018 with a guarantee and with a generator. It has a plenty of power reserve for this boat.

It’s said that the sails are in excellent condition. There’s also a spare set of old sails.

This boat has bilge keels. It’s convenient in tidal zones. You can simply stand on two keels and a rudder blade. The water will drain and the boat will stand up straight.

Some yachtsmen maintain their boats and even make antifouling in this way. You can save some money on the lift.

An updated Volvo Penta md2030b engine with a large power reserve was installed. This is a big plus. Such an engine costs more than this boat.

The mainsail is not new, but it does not require replacement. New genoa was installed in 2016. There’s a jib furler. There’s also a cover for the mainsail. The spray hood looks good.

In addition to various household items, such as dishes and spare parts, there is an autopilot, a GPS navigator. A holding tank was installed in 2020. A bow platform was mounted. I think there is more equipment that is not listed.

Everything inside looks fresh. The wood is in good condition.

It is very cheap for such an offer. Of course, everything needs to be checked, as always but if there are no critical defects, then you can purchase this boat. It will be easy to sell it for 7-8 thousand euro even in the Baltic, and in Mediterranean for 10-12 thousand euro.

Västbris 20 is a compact, reliable Swedish sailboat, it’s perfect for 2 people.

The boat has a long lead keel, so despite its small size it is possible to pass long distances.

In 2018, the Mercury 4hp engine was installed. In the seller’s advertisement it’s said that he purchased this engine for 1000 euro, and it worked for only a few hours.

There’s a double bed in the bow part (1.85 m), plus two beds in the salon (2 m), a mini-kitchen and a portable toilet.

The price of the sailboat also includes a set of sails (a mainsail and a staysail) and the following equipment: an external fuel tank (2021), a new battery charger (Victron), new mattresses for berths (2021), two anchors, a swim ladder, kitchen equipment (dishes, cooking utensils), fenders, mooring equipment, etc.

Such a sailboat is an excellent solution for the first sailboat, since not only the price, but also the cost of its maintenance is also small. Besides, there’s a new engine.

The plastic, wood and overall interior look pretty good. The height in the cabin is about 1.6 meters, but as you might already know, on a small boat you either sit or lie down, or go to the place where you will lie or sit.

The sails are in good condition. The genoa is on a furler and has UV protection. The mainsail has a fresh cover. There is a solar panel, a 30 liter fuel tank, a toilet, a fresh spray hood, an anchor, fenders, rescue equipment, kitchen equipment, a swim ladder, mooring equipment, etc.

The boat is long-keeled, with a hinged rudder blade – all these are very good solutions in terms of reliability and ease of repair.

The seller wrote that the price can be discussed, I think they can agree on 1500 euro, and winter parking is already included in the price.

The boat is completely ready to sail. There’s a full set of sails, a genoa furler (this is a big advantage). Fresh mainsail cover and fresh spray hood.

The boat looks good enough both outside and inside. I didn’t notice any serious problems. Reinforcement of the mast beam was made (this is also very good, since it’s the weak point of all Albin Vega sailboats).

The Albin Q22 engine is a gasoline engine. You have to be very careful about fire safety. Personally, I don’t like the idea of an inboard gasoline engine.

The boat costs only 2100 euro. It has a properly working inboard engine, some updates have been made. The boat was maintained, but no capital expenditures were made.

I think this is a good first boat, and if you wish, you can make a real mini cruiser out of it, for example, for traveling around Europe.
