I don’t usually post projects, but this boat isn’t really a project.

The boat is fully ready to go to sea, except for some cosmetic work.

The boat has been standing on the shore for the last 3 years. The owner was going to make a refit, but he doesn’t have time for it anymore. It remains to sew new cushion covers and assemble a new kitchen (now there is not even a countertop in the galley). One of the hatches also needs to be replaced.

There is an impact mark on the stem. You need to look at the place.

Otherwise, the boat has working sails. Standing rigging was checked a few years ago.

Relatively new batteries: 4 house batteries and a separate starter battery. A new charger.

There is a heater in the cabins. There is also a Garmin chartplotter on the boat.

The Yanmar 3GM engine has always been serviced on time and is now starting at half turn.

Maxi 95 is a boat with two separate cabins, a dedicated toilet and a spacious cockpit. If you put it in order, you can get a good reliable boat for a small investment.

The price of these boats in Scandinavia can reach up to 20K, and it seems to me that this could be a very interesting offer.

A very interesting owner’s boat, which has been tested by a long and not the easiest route.

The boat sailed from Norway to the Caribbean and back via the USA, Canada, Greenland and Iceland from 2022 to 2023.

Just before the passage, the boat has been extensively upgraded.

All the ropes on the boat were replaced. The sails were checked and repaired. Some of the sails are new. The standing rigging was checked and is partially new.

New lithium batteries were installed, which give full autonomy. There are solar panels. All lighting has been replaced with LED.

All the seacocks were replaced with TruDesign.

A more powerful Volvo Penta D2-55 engine was installed on the boat.

New electric bilge pump.

Rescue equipment has also been updated and purchased: life raft, EPIRB, 3 rescue suits (2 adults + children), additional VHF antenna.

A lot of equipment was also purchased: a chartplotter, radar, echo sounder, AIS, autopilot and several hand-held VHF. All equipment 2022.

Beautiful and well maintained Najad. These are reliable boats with high quality materials.

Thick and durable hull. Reliable modified long keel. Protected central cockpit.

Beautiful interior. New cushions were sewn. LED lighting is installed.

There is a Webasto and hot water. Fully dedicated Jabsco toilet. In 2010, new seacocks were installed.

The sails are in good condition: genoa on a furling and a mainsail with a relatively new lazy bag. New mast and standing rigging. A video camera is mounted on the mast, which allows you to monitor the situation ahead of the boat.

The fresh 2007 Yanmar engine runs like clockwork. There is also a new bow thruster.

In 2010, the boat received a new teak deck. The teak was cared for and it still has its original thickness. A teak is always very expensive and difficult. It’s much easier to care for its condition than to restore it.
