In fact, the yachts from this shipyard are highly reliable and ergonomic, the boat is well-groomed and clean. It’s equipped with a lot of useful and expensive equipment. Since 2004 the owner has improved and modernized the boat. The Volvo Penta MD11C engine has been completely overhauled in 2004. The photo shows that the engine bay is dry, without streaks and traces of oil.

All the rigging (ropes for controlling the sails) is brought into the cockpit, which allows you to work with the sails even alone.

As mentioned above, there is a lot of expensive equipment on the boat: jib furler, an autopilot, chart plotter, AIS (allows you to see oncoming vessels on the map), a bathing ladder, fuel tank 120 L, water tank 160 L, solar panels that make the boat more autonomous, a heater, a stereo system with bluetooth and a Full HD TV. In addition to all of this, the boat includes two anchors, docking ropes and fenders, and even paper maps of the local water area.

The ad says that the boat has been brought ashore, which means that the parking is paid until spring and there is an excellent opportunity to inspectate the underwater part of the boat.

I think there is a good chance to get a discount, because for this money you can buy a boat with a new engine. This may be the main argument.

Malar 30 (1937) for 8500 euro!

Friends! Today we have an unusual mahogany sailboat Malar 30 (1937) for 8500 euro!

Location: Sweden

Length: 11.55 meters
Width: 2.04 meters
Draft: 1.40 meters
Sleeping places: 4
Kitchen (galley): no data
Toilet: (head): no data

To be honest, I think this is the most impractical purchase that can be, but nevertheless I want to show you this boat.

This is a 38-foot wooden sailboat with a width of 2 meters, minimum space inside, low ceiling, and a huge amount of work annually.

This is a specific sailboat that is made for racing in skerries. It behaves extremely uncomfortable on a big wave, but in the absence of a wave it goes very fast and driving.

This boat is like an expensive toy. Attention will be provided, everyone will want to take a picture, they will clap you on the shoulder and say what good fellows you are, but personally I don’t see any point in that.

The sailboat was restored and completed in 2006, so all the equipment is quite fresh.

There is definitely a VHF radio station, a GPS navigator, an outboard engine, classic staysail setting, updated mast and boom and a whole set of mooring equipment. The seller says that there is more equipment and he is ready to send the list.

The boat certainly looks great, such a classic is a classic. Remember that such boats are completely illiquid and very difficult to sell. The space inside is comparable to a boat for 1000 euro and the annual maintenance costs will be more than 5000 euro.

The Yanmar YSB 8 engine was overhauled in 2002 and after that it was serviced annually.

Winga 78 is a moto sailer with a separate aft cabin, with a separate entrance to this aft cabin, and with a separate room for the toilet.

The layout is quite rare. It can be comfortable for couples with children or for those who have frequent guests.

This boat has both a steering wheel and a tiller, which is also very convenient.

The Vetus M3.28 28 h.p. engine is from 2014. It is almost as good as new for a boat. For this size, it has an excellent power reserve.

There’s a new and old set of sails, a jib furler, and a soft tent for the entire cockpit. With this design, you can easily install air conditioning or heating and sail with maximum comfort.

The equipment includes solar panels, a Webasto diesel heater, a gas stove with 3 burners and an oven, a refrigerator, a radio with CD / usb / AUX input and two speakers, a GPS navigator, a VHF radio, an autopilot.

There’s also a whole set of mooring equipment, anchoring equipment, a bow platform and convenient holders for fenders on the rails.

The boat falls into the category of up to 8 meters, so it will be very economical because most of the annual costs are spent on mooring.

Jouet 920 with an inboard motor Beta Marine 20hp for 11 000 euro!

Friends! Today we have Jouet 920 with an inboard motor Beta Marine 20hp for 11 000 euro!

Location: Netherlands

Length: 9.27meters
Width: 3.12 meters
Draft: 1.65 meters
Sleeping places: 4+2 small
Kitchen (galley): available
Toilet: available

A 20hp Beta Marine engine is installed. I don’t know the year, but it’s probably quite new and has a big power reserve for such a sailboat.

There are leads to the cockpit, sprayhood and cover for the mainsail look good. The mainsail is in good condition, but the owner says that genoa needs to be changed.

It’s a french sailboat and it has an interesting space planning. There are 4 full sleeping places, 2 of them in the wardroom and 2 in the aft cabin.

There is a separate hermetic toilet (lavatory) as well, probably the boat has a shower already, or it’s quite simple to install.

Water reserve is 200 liters (it’s quite a lot for a boat of this size, but you can add 100-200 liters more by using a flexible tank).

Fuel reserve is 50 liters, it’s enough for about 35-40 hours or 200 nautical miles. But you can easily add fuel cans, for example, I had 120 liters reserve in fuel cans on my previous sailboat, and the tank was 25 liters only.

There are 2 more little sleeping places in a bow part, they will fit for children or people of small height. That planning is quite common for french sailboats of this size. How do you think, is it comfortable?

Nothing is said about the equipment, but we can see an inflatable boat at the stern, an outboard motor for this boat, displays of devices in the cockpit.

The sailboat has been owned by a single person for 20 years, it probably has the full set of necessary equipment.

There is teak wood in the cockpit and it seems good enough.

In my opinion, it’s a very good offer, a sailboat with powerful engine that likely still has much of its life time, a separate aft cabin, a separate hermetic toilet.

Magnifik Midget 23 with an outboard 2-stroke Mercury 4hp engine for 2000 euro!

Friends! Today we have a Magnifik Midget 23 with an outboard 2-stroke Mercury 4hp engine for 2000 euro!

Location: Sweden

Length: 7.00 meters
Width: 2.12 meters
Draft: 0.98 meters
Sleeping places: 4
Kitchen (galley): available
Toilet (head): not available

This is a small sailboat with an outboard 2-stroke Mercury 4hp engine (2003). I wrote about my experience of owning a sailboat with a two-stroke engine in my book. You can read about these adventures 🙂

Classic staysail setting, good spray hood, mainsail cover, full set of sails (everything is in good condition).

This sailboat is perfect for the first start. By the way, they sell it just because they bought a larger sailboat.

The condition of the interior, wood, gelcoat and sides is good. Everything is bright and freshly painted. This is a long-keeled sailboat, so you don’t have to worry about encountering an underwater obstacle or running aground. Taking into account its size, it is also very easy to get it off the shoal by simply dropping the anchor (I also tell you about that in the book and the course).

There is a link to my training materials in bio. You’ll find information about choosing a sailboat, all the options and risks, and learn how to move it from the Nordic countries to the Mediterranean sea with minimal costs.

Sun Odyssey 24.1 with a 9hp Yanmar inboard engine for only 13000 euro!

Friends! Today we have a Sun Odyssey 24.1 with a 9hp Yanmar inboard engine for only 13000 euro!

Location: France

Hull length: 7.3 meters
Width: 2.44 meters
Draft: 1.45 meters
Sleeping places: 4
Kitchen (galley): available
Toilet: available

A small boat but with an inboard engine.

A good set of sails, the mainsail is twisted on the boom. There’s a jib furler, mainsail, genoa, gennaker. All the ropes go to the cockpit. There’s a tent that helps a lot on a sunny day.

There’s an autopilot, a GPS navigator, a wind generator, solar panels, 2 batteries. I am sure that there’s more equipment, it’s just not listed.

One of the biggest advantages of this boat is that its size is less than 7.5 meters. This means that the mooring fee will be the lowest in almost all marinas. Most often it will fall under the category of up to 8 meters or even up to 7.5 meters! At the same time, it has a separate latrine, a kitchen and 4 sleeping places.

Wood and plastic look very good. I think it’s a great option for a couple.

A modern boat with a separate latrine for only 13000 euro!

Dufour 30 classic with a Volvo Penta 18hp engine for only 29950 euro!

Friends! Today we have Dufour 30 classic with a Volvo Penta 18hp engine for only 29950 euro!

Location: France

Hull length: 8.95 meters
Width: 2.98 meters
Draft: 1.55 meters
Keel: fin
Sleeping places: 6
Kitchen (galley): available
Toilet: available

This boat was made in 2000. Its size falls under the category of up to 9 meters. It means that the mooring fee in the marinas will always be affordable.

There’s probably the original 2000 Volvo Penta 18 h.p. engine. Nothing is said about its problems, most likely it works properly. The fuel reserve is 80 liters. It’s about 60 hours or 300 nautical miles.

The sails are almost new, from 2020 (genoa, mainsail and spinnaker). All the ropes go to the cockpit. There’s a lazy jack, a cover for the mainsail. Genoa also has UV protection.

The equipment includes a stationary VHF radio station with a distress function, a Simrad TP 22 autopilot, an anemometer and an echo sounder. There’s a navigator with the MOB (man overboard) function, good music system onboard, 2 x 64Ah batteries with a charger, and an automatic switch from 220V to 12V, charging for devices, a compass and a direction finder.

There’s a shower onboard and a 170-liters tank. Toilet is in excellent condition, 2 pumps, a 60-liters fridge, a gas stove with 2 burners and a gas leak sensor, a life raft (2019), an inflatable boat (2010), an anchor chain of 30 meters + 30 meters of anchor rope, anchor 15kg, as well as many other mooring equipment and fenders.

The boat looks fresh from the inside and looks very modern from the outside. It also has a shower and everything you need. Good balance of comfort and the cost of ownership, well-suited for Mediterranean, especially for marinas with water and electricity but no shower.

Hallberg Rassy Rasmus 35 with an updated Lombardini 2204M engine for 31500 euro only!

Friends! Today we have probably one of the best offers for all the time!

It is a Hallberg Rassy Rasmus 35 with a separate aft cabin and an updated Lombardini 2204M engine (57 hp, 2005) for 31500 euro only!

Location: Sweden

Length: 10.5 meters
Width: 3.05 meters
Draft: 1.3 meters
Type of keel: long keel
Sleeping places: 6
Kitchen (galley): available
Toilet: available

I like Rasmus 35 because it has an aft cabin with a separate entrance which is very comfortable for family or guests.

Long keel with hinged rudder blade, can you imagine something more fail-safe?

The boat is equipped with a full set of sails, the sails are quite new. There is a jib furler, and as well there is a mainsail furler! It’s really very conveniently and very rare on such boats.

Quite new Lombardini 2204M engine with giant power reserve of 57 hp. This Rasmus became a motorsailer!

Plastic and wood are in good condition. Teak is wet on the photo, but it is in good condition, too.

Kitchen is in the starboard, it’s more comfortable while moorage, those who love cooking will like it.

There are many other upgrades, the owners invested a lot in this sailboat and cared for it. It’s one of those boats that is a true gift in my opinion!

The price will be at least 50 000 euro in the Mediterranean! It’s a pretty good way to earn money.

I would definitely change the cushions 😀

Label Hallberg Rassy is one of the best yacht brands, it is considered that they make boats that are ready to go to the ocean. Everything is thought out, supreme quality and reliability.
