The boat is a Maxi 95, which is being sold by my subscriber. It was purchased in Sweden and is currently being sailed to the Mediterranean.

A nice Swedish sailboat with a nice interior and a beautiful teak deck.

The boat is ashore now. Parking is paid till the end of summer of 2025. It’s very good. There’s probably something on the boat that can be fixed or improved, and you won’t be pressed for time.

Two new batteries, purchased in 2024. New batteries are always a good thing. I would definitely check how it’s connected and in what condition the electrical wiring is.

The galley has a two-burner stove, sink and Isotherm refrigerator with freezer.

A new spray hood and cockpit tent have been sewn. There are cushions in the cockpit.

The deck is covered with teak. The wood looks great in the photo. Teak is expensive and difficult. It’s better trying to keep it in good condition than fixing it later.

Complete set of sails: a mainsail in a cover, a self-tacking jib on a furler and a genoa. The sheets and halyards are brought into the cockpit.

The boat has an inboard Volvo Penta MD7A engine, which was overhauled by professionals last year.

There is also an autopilot on the boat. It’s great. Especially in combination with the lines in the cockpit, as well as the self-tacking jib on the furler, it’s easy to cope with such a setup alone.

A good and quite seaworthy boat. There are only a few owners in the entire history of ownership.

The boat is clean and tidy. The cushions were reupholstered. The internal wood is in good condition.

Two important components have been replaced: new seacocks and a relatively new standing rigging. These are very important and expensive updates.

New hatch in the forward cabin.

Along the starboard side, there is a galley with an alcohol stove and a sink with two taps (fresh and seawater). The new Porta Potti toilet.

Sails: mainsail with a cover and genoa without a furling. There are also several genoas for different winds and a storm staysail with a spinnaker. The sheets and halyards are brought into the cockpit.

The boat has a Yanmar YSB8 diesel engine. There is no information about any problems with the engine in the ad. This engine is quite reliable, but you have to understand that the engine is not new.

The boat has a chartplotter, VHF, anemometer, lag and echo sounder. This equipment is quite enough to make a big passage.

In my opinion, this is a very interesting offer. A fully functional and well-maintained boat.

The interior has been slightly renovated. New cushions. The galley has been updated. A new faucet is installed — looks nice. New stove with oven.

The sails look great: a mainsail with a lazy bag and genoa on a furling. All the lines are out in the cockpit.

There is a spray hood. The boom traveler is made so that you can install a bimini. In general, it’s clear that the boat is in the hands of an experienced sailor.

The low price is due to the fact that the engine is not running. It’s actually not that scary. You can find an inexpensive refurbished engine or buy a new one (approx cost 7-10K). To be honest, I even see advantages in this.

Let’s do the math. The market price for such a Maxi 95 starts from 13-15K. It will be a more «tired» boat with an old engine. Most likely without equipment. People buy such a boat and, most likely, will sail on it and constantly fix the engine, which will often break down.

Here you can also buy a good boat with autopilot and put a brand-new engine on it, and it will cost less than 10K.

The interior is a bit «tired», but there is some charm of it.

The second important and expensive upgrade is the new Volvo Penta D2-55 engine.

The supply of fresh water is almost 500 liters. The diesel tank (220 liters) has recently been cleaned.

A new heater with deflectors in all cabins has been installed.

Oyster Marine is a British boat brand that still produces premium segment boats.

This model is a racing boat with a high level of comfort for cruise passages.

The owner invested his money and energy into the boat to win prizes on it.

Boat has been refitted from 2022 to 2025. Electrical wiring was completely updated, new AGM batteries with a charging monitor were installed.

Heating was installed.

The standing rigging was partially repaired.

There is a report from 2025 on the survey of the underwater part and the structure of the vessel.

The owner raced the boat, and it’s equipped with new membrane sails: mainsail 2019, genoa 2018, spinnaker 2018, spare dacron staysails, spinnaker for strong wind, etc.

The Yanmar 3GM30 engine is working well after major repairs in 2012. The engine consumption in cruising mode is approximately 2 liters per hour.
