This Compass 31 ketch motorsailer was built in Denmark in 1975 and has had only one owner. The single-owner history means the boat’s maintenance and upgrades are easy to trace. It also suggests careful treatment and minimal risky modifications.

The layout is practical for a 31-foot yacht. There is a forward cabin for two, a cozy saloon with galley, and an aft cabin for two more. The aft cabin adds comfort, which is uncommon for this size.

A rare upgrade is the shower, installed by the owner. Showers are not usually found on boats of this length, so this is a thoughtful improvement for longer stays.

The listing says that a new Volvo Penta 2003T engine was installed at Kalvetangen Marina in 2024. However, based on the photos, it doesn’t look “brand new” — it’s worth checking with the seller, as it might have been a newer unit purchased second-hand.

This 43-foot Elan was built in 1999 and worked in charter in Croatia until 2010, after which it was shipped to Norway, cleared and registered. Since then, the yacht has been with the current owner, receiving regular maintenance and upgrades.

In 2025 the hull was cleaned, polished and antifouling was applied, and new anodes installed. Teak decking in the cockpit and on the bathing platform was replaced in 2017; the teak on deck needs replacement. The cockpit tent is new.

Sails were replaced in 2017, the anchor windlass was serviced in 2022, and a new chartplotter was installed in 2018. Since 2019 all valves, batteries and the electrical system have been renewed, and a holding tank with an electric toilet was added.
