The boat was designed so that only two people could manage it in regattas across the Atlantic (therefore the name “Two Stars”). At the same time, the task was to ensure that the price for 36 feet was the same as for 32 feet. For that, the hull was made self-supporting, so the interior was not a load-bearing part of the structure. All furniture is installed on aluminum rails. Because of this decision, the model received the nickname “IKEA Boat”.
The hull of the boat is a thick 25 mm sandwich, which provides good cold and noise insulation.
Another distinctive feature of this model is the four–person aft cabin. A rather rare, but practical solution for travels with a large family or while on the shifts.
The galley is equipped with a stove, an oven, a refrigerator, hot water. A Webasto heater is installed in the cabin. There is also a Meaco dryer. Electric head with septic tank for 30 liters.
Sails: a mainsail with a lazy bag, a staysail on a furling, a genoa and a spinnaker.
A Volvo Penta 2002 with fresh water cooling is installed on the boat. In 2021, the exhaust and cooling system were replaced.
The list of equipment is very large. Here are some of the items: B&G Zeus7 Touch chartplotter (2013), B&G VHF with AIS connected to a plotter (2020), Raymarine anemometer (2021), Raymarine echo sounder, Simrad autopilot with remote control from the cabin, 110 W solar panel, new batteries, sprayhood, bimini, bathing ladder and much more.
Also, a small inflatable boat and two folding bicycles are given with the boat to conveniently move in marinas or explore new places.
