The Birdie 24 is a practical Swedish design by Harry Becker, known for reliable sailing in coastal waters. This boat has been in the same family since 2020 and is now for sale due to a need for more space.
The deck layout is simple, with all halyards led aft to the cockpit. Handling sails in wind and waves is predictable and safe. Both mainsail and jib are nearly unused and still crisp. Additional sails include a genoa, an older main, and a storm jib.
The outboard engine is a Parsun 5 hp, recently serviced and running well for harbor maneuvers. The inboard Volvo Penta is not operational. A new outboard bracket was fitted this season.
Inside, the cabin is cozy, with comfortable berths and classic woodwork. The layout is straightforward, with a galley and plenty of storage. Four supports for winter storage are included.
The hull was painted this spring before launch. The boat is now ashore for winter in Skälderviken.
