I haven’t seen a Vega in such well-kept condition for a long time. The hull and deck show clean lines, and the cockpit is tidy with all fittings in place.
On a Vega like this I personally sailed from Sweden to Tunisia—proof that these are among the most reliable small boats afloat. The classic Vega layout is practical for both coastal cruising and longer passages. The interior woodwork is well-preserved, and the cushions look fresh.
Handling is predictable, even in changing weather. The shallow draft lets you explore sheltered bays and small harbors.
The Suzuki outboard starts reliably and is easy to maintain. There’s also a Volvo Penta MD 6A inboard, but its working condition is unknown.
Typical minor issues include small leaks in heavy rain and older sails, none of which affect the boat’s safety or character.
