One of the biggest advantages of this boat is the brand-new engine, installed in 2023 by professionals, all documents available.
Other updates include:
• All seacocks replaced with composite
• New Garmin chartplotter
• New propeller and shaft seal (2025)
• New sprayhood, cockpit tent and lazy jack
The Nord 80 is an excellent choice for a first yacht. That’s exactly why I recently bought one myself — and on October 1st she will go to one of you.
Technically, the boat is ready to sail, and the cosmetic work can be done gradually. Here’s a rough plan:
• Paint the engine — up to 50 euros
• Renew cushion covers — about 300 euros
• Refresh interior varnish (DIY) — 150–200 euros
• Sand exterior wood, replace teak planks (DIY) — about 100 euros
• New sprayhood and mainsail cover (lazy bag) — about 1500 euros
In total, just over 2000 euros for all cosmetic upgrades.
After that, the boat becomes something you could realistically sell for 8–10k or more depending on the region. And until then, you can safely enjoy sailing and fresh sea air!
