This Colin Archer is a fiberglass-built replica of the classic Norwegian design. You get the style and atmosphere of the original, but with much less maintenance than wood.
She was originally gaff-rigged, now set up with a Bermuda rig for easier handling. The rig lets two people sail comfortably in all conditions.
Standing and running rigging, except the stern undershroud, were replaced after 2020. This is a major upgrade that brings reliability for many more years or long passages.
The Yanmar 3YM30 engine has very low hours and is serviced regularly. All engine and battery wiring was renewed in 2023.
With Vitron’s app you can directly see the battery status of the consumption or starter battery on your mobile phone.
The cockpit and cabin layout are practical for four adults on longer trips. The galley has a two-burner gas stove, fridge, and a new toilet with holding tank.
